Customer Problem
The chamber serves three surrounding communities. Each community
is participating in the year-long events but wants to maintain its identity.
Organizations, schools, churches, companies, and individuals within each
community are planning special events during the year to celebrate the
new millenium. The challenge is to combine all the communities and
events under one umbrella while allowing them all to keep their identities.
AdWorks' Solutions
AdWorks
began by running a contest among high school art students to develop a
logo for the year-long events. The Chamber selected the favorite
and AdWorks worked with the student artist to clean it up and prepare it
for output. The logo highlights the Year 2000 Celebration while presents
the three communities in the top banner. The posters all incorporate
room for the sponsors names as well as a few of the main events.
In addition to developing the artwork, AdWorks created presentations to
raise over $150,000 sponsorship money from local businesses, organized
PR events, created and printed all marketing and PR materials to promote
the year-long celebration...including posters, tickets, fliers.
